How It Works
You contact us
Tell us what was lost, where it went in, when it happened, and any details about depth, landmarks, or GPS coordinates. The more detail, the better.
We assess
We let you know if the recovery looks feasible and walk you through estimated costs. No pressure — we'll be honest if conditions make recovery unlikely.
Bill dives
Bill and his team search the area using precision search techniques and underwater metal detection, methodically scanning the bottom.
Recovery or honest report
We recover the item or tell you clearly what we found and what may have prevented recovery. No runaround.
What Helps Us Succeed
- ✓Drop a pin at the spot — in Google Maps, press and hold on the map to mark the location closest to where the item went in. A known starting point speeds up the search.
- ✓Don't disturb the bottom — dragging or raking can bury items deeper in silt.
- ✓Note landmarks or GPS coordinates if possible.
- ✓Act quickly — items shift with current and boat traffic over time.
- ✓Stay out of the water — wading stirs up silt and reduces visibility.
Recovery is not guaranteed. Outcome depends on water conditions, visibility, depth, and time since loss. We will search thoroughly and report honestly.
Rates
| Service | Rate |
|---|---|
| Travel | $95/hr |
| Standard Recovery | $150/hr |
| Emergency / After Dark | $200/hr |
Some recoveries require additional services — permitting fees, a surface attendant, boat rental, wrecker service, or other heavy equipment. Any of these costs are billed in addition to the rates above. We'll discuss them with you before the search begins.
Travel and time spent diving are billed regardless of whether the item is found — recovery depends on conditions and is never guaranteed.
